Why can't our government force food manufacturers stop using high fructose corn syrup?
I mean seriously, it's not a hard decision to make. The few Americans that know what it is, DON'T want HFCS in their diets. HFCS is made synthetically, with ingredients that have a similar composition to anti-freeze! Tell me how good that is for you? It has been stated that there is not enough viable corn farmland for both HFCS and Ethanol. Just use the corn to make ethanol. Ethanol is already taking the place of MTDE as a gasoline additive. Most cars (even my 18 year old car) can be re-jetted and spark advanced to use the ethanol. As long as virgin rubber is used (since 1988), the fuel lines, and injector o-rings will NOT deteriorate. So I ask again, WHY is the government not doing anything about this??? Now I ask, are any of you in office honorable enough to stand-up for US?
