Frankenstein costume help needed!?

My boyfriend is planning to go as Frankenstein for Halloween. Neither of us do anything small, so we want the costume to look as convincing and accurate as possible. The one problem we are having is a good way to fashion the head. Not the bolts, but the squarish head. Any costumers or makeup artist help? Thanks so much!!!
