How good are these cars?

I'm a 16 year old and I've been looking at the Lincolns and Cadillacs from the seventies and I really like them. I would like to get one to drive everyday. Are these cars good enough to get me around today? I live in the country and don't have any city driving. Can there cars drive comfortably at 55 to 65? I don't drive very hard. How is the gas mileage? I can live with it as long as it's more than 15. Are the interior bells and whistles prone to breaking? Do there cars handle as bad as they say, or does it just take getting used to? Thanks for any help.
